Statement of Support to Striking Cal State Faculty, Members of the California Faculty Association

Oakland, California** – As faculty members in the California State University system enter their fourth day of rolling strikes around the state, Fossil Free California released the following statement in support of striking workers.

“Fossil Free California is proud to call the California Faculty Association a trusted ally and as members of this strong and powerful union strike this week, we join with them in solidarity. 

“The quest for justice and the commitment to build a better California for young people, many of them students in the Cal State system, is what first united us. CFA consistently speaks out for what is right and what is necessary for union members, for the students they support every day, and for the climate-safe future workers and students deserve. We are proud to support the thousands of faculty members as they strike for a stronger contract.”
